We were so lucky to have found a property with a guesthouse for visiting family and friends. And that means you! Your space is a completely renovated and updated private, 468 sq ft one-bedroom guesthouse built four years ago specifically as a separate apartment for friends, family, and visitors. It is comfortably reached via 14 stairs leading onto your private terrace and the guesthouse entrance. Newly remodeled, freshly painted from high ceilings to bamboo wood floors, and tastefully furnished in true coastal fashion (with a touch of New York flair), this loft guesthouse has a unique and calming charm with many amenities and features for a very comfortable and pleasant stay. The guesthouse is fully air-conditioned, has ceiling fans for your comfort, and large windows & French doors to let in the balmy Florida air.
LIVING ROOM/KITCHEN/DINING ROOM
Coastal living is all about ease, comfort, and relaxation. And you can enjoy it in your large living/kitchen/dining room space! With new tasteful furnishings and charming accents happily found at the local antique shops, you will instantly feel the Gulfport vibe. The large windows let in plenty of Florida sunshine. Kitchen is modern with stone counters, European wood cabinetry and full-size kitchen appliances. Amenities include a coffee machine, Cuisinart toaster, electric kettle, microwave and all the cookware necessary to make a gourmet meal. The dining nook is a perfect space to have a romantic dinner for two or share a meal with friends. Just bring your own food, we provide the rest! A wall-mounted TV has both local and cable channels. If you must work while on vacation, you'll find it easy to do so with a fully-functioning WiFi and a dedicated work space with work desk.
BATHROOM
Clean, fresh, newly remodeled and freshly painted, it has a frosted window to let in plenty of light. The color and furnishing accents won't let you forget you are visiting the Sunshine State. A large bathtub with a new shower, plenty of shelving and storage for your items, new soft towels, and essential amenities (soap, shampoo, shower gel) complete this easy and comfortable space. A hair dryer is also included.
BEDROOM
When it comes to bedrooms, calm and romantic wins the day (and night, of course!). We painted the bedroom in the smoothest shade of deep blush and added coordinating curtains to give you a sense of serenity and peace, while still letting you remember you are enjoying a coastal hideaway. The paintings and posters were carefully sourced from local antique shops and give this room a touch of whimsy yet allow you to de-stress and de-compress. A custom Tufts & Needle queen size mattress with pillows of various softness makes for a calming rest space. A chest of drawers gives you plenty of storage, and a walk-in closet with shelves, hanging rod & hangers, ironing board & iron completes your home-away-from-home space. The bedroom has a large sliding French door on the south wall that fully opens onto a small Juliet balcony overlooking the main house garden.
OUTDOOR AREA
Enjoy your private terrace with club chairs and a sun umbrella. This is a perfect spot for a morning yoga or a sundowner cocktail. In the garden below the guesthouse there is a shady pergola with a dining table for four and a BBQ area.
