At Buffalo Creek Farmhouse you will find yourself in the middle of the best west central Texas has to offer. This newly remodeled 1920's farmhouse is situated on a working sheep ranch. Find yourself enjoying the peace and quiet as you take in the surrounding beauty and a cup of coffee.
The space
Buffalo Creek Farmhouse is a 1,750 sq ft house with 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths. It is secluded with very few neighbors. If you are coming to the area to hunt, visit family, or just get away from the city lights, Buffalo Creek is the place for you!
Enjoy panoramic views from the front or back porch. Wildlife is abundant in the area. Deer, wild pigs, turkey, and all kinds of critters call this country home. We keep the area clean but it's not out of the question to encounter snakes in the spring, summer and early fall months.

The kitchen is fully furnished with pots/pans , utensils, cooking spices, gas range/oven, microwave and dishwasher. In the pantry you will also find a crock pot and toaster. Locally roasted coffee is provided along with filters at the coffee bar.
The two front bedrooms have queen beds. The back bedroom is a large room with a twin over full bunk and queen size pull-out couch. All beds are furnished with bedding and pillows. The bedding for the pull-out couch is located on shelves by bedroom entrance. Extra blankets are provided in the living room closet. A smart TV is located in the living room with several streaming services available for you to sign onto.
Towels and washcloths are provided in the bathroom cabinet or closet. Shampoo, conditioner, and bodywash is provided. A hair dryer is provided in the front bathroom. Both bathrooms have a shower only, no tub.
The house is on a septic system. Flushing anything but toilet paper is the
surest way to ruin your stay and incur damage fees. Please be careful to
only flush toilet paper.
There is a NON-WORKING fireplace in the living room. Please do not try to use it. The chimney is sealed off.
Guest access
The space includes 1.5 acres of fenced property with a coded gate. Your access includes everything located inside the fence where the house is. Please do not climb fences or gates into other areas for your safety.
Other things to note
There is also an operating blacksmith shop adjacent to the property. If the Smith is present when you're here, feel free to drop in to say hello!
This is a working ranch. We use guard dogs to protect our sheep from predators. These dogs generally stay with the sheep and you may see them when the flock wanders close to the house. The house is fenced off from the pasture where the sheep and dogs live so they won't be in the house yard. Please DO NOT try to pet or feed the dogs. They aren't aggressive unless they sense danger. It's their job to protect. Please enjoy them from a distance.
