The Mustang Bunkhouse is conveniently located next to the outdoor cooking shelter which is the heart of the camp for meals, games and conversation andis across from thePegasus treehouses if you are planning a trip with friends or family.There are lots of other facilities to accommodate family or friends. Check with us about availability for a family reunion or corporate retreat.
Mustang's screened in front porch has a diningtable and chairs, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and and eating utensils. Coffee and sugar are included for you.A picnic table is just outside your door to use in warm seasons.The cozy bedroom has a bunk bed and double bed with linens, an electric floor heater and a ceiling fan for your comfort.(Please bring your own toiletries).
Mustang has its own fire pit and sitting area and is less than a 1 minute walk to theBirdbath building with hot water showers and flush toilets.
The communal cooking shelter has two fridges, stove, toaster oven, microwave, propanegrill, blender,coffee makers, plates, bowls, cooking and eating utensils. In winter it can be cold so plan your meals accordingly.
The landborders the Santa Fe National Forest's Pecos Wilderness Area. There arebeautiful views of Shaggy Peak, thesouthernmost tip of the Rocky Mountains andthe Sangre de Cristo Mountain Range. Wander our land to enjoya 15 minute hike to a creek in the forest (last three minutes is steep and creek runs in wet weather). We have various other trails for you to explore as well...one being the closest access to Shaggy Peak (seasoned hikers only please).
The camp is locatedabout 20 minutes from Museum Hill,25 minutes from Meow Wolf, Old Town Santa Fe Plaza and just15 minutes to delicious food at Harry's Roadhouse, Jambo Bobcat Bite and Cafe Fina.
The beautiful drive to reach us meanders through the historic quaint village of Canada de Las Alamos. Mountain views and evergreen forests border the 1.3 mile dirt road, which is just far enough to get away from the hustle and excitement of Santa Fe but close enough to enjoy all that Santa Fe has to offer.

Since the camp has minimal lighting for star viewing we recommend you bring flash lights and you consider arriving while it is still light out. It makes locating us easier and you will get to experience our beautiful sunsets and have more time to enjoy this enchanted hilltop!Checkin is 4-8PM Nov-May, 4-9:45 June-Oct.
Once you have located your site you are welcome to leave and come back after the normal check in time without a fee but please be as quiet as possible.
