Summary: We stayed for one night for a Friend’s wedding in Marlow it isn’t the first time I have been to the Complete Angler but it has been a few years and to say I was disappointed is an understatement. Initially all was good reception staff were friendly and our room was even ready early which was great as it meant we had somewhere to get changed for the wedding. After that it was downhill. The room was hot so I tried to open one of the windows and the secondary glazing almost fell out of the frame! The other window did open but there was gaps around most of the window pans as the window was rotten overall not very safe. We did have a lovely view of the river and weir which was nice. In the bathroom there were serval damp patches on the ceiling, the cold tap was trickling not able to turn off properly, the shelf behind the sink was coming away from the wall and had been gunked up with silicone. The bed was comfortable and clean thankfully. And the hair dryer didn’t work so I had to go to breakfast with wet hair by this point I could t be bothered to ask for a new one! Breakfast was thankfully included though we did have to pay for parking when we arrived as we hadn’t booked directly with the hotel, this seemed unfair as we were paying hotel guests however we had initially booked so be aware of this. Back to breakfast it was awful poor selection of buffet, waited 45mins for hot and it was so terrible and Luke warm we left it. Overall I wouldn’t stay here again ever.
