Our 5 bedroom, 4.5 bathroom residence ("The Wright House") sits on 3 acres and offers views of the Hermosa Cliffs as well as privacy and seclusion, yet is only 10 minutes (6 miles) from Historic Downtown Durango and 20 minutes (20 miles) north to Purgatory Ski Resort.
This is a unique opportunity to stay in a residence originally built in 1962 and designed by one of Frank Lloyd Wrights students. The residence was completely remodeled and finished in early 2023 by the new owner remaining true to the period and making it much more than your typical vacation rental. The luxurious home is furnished with high quality period furnishings, Smart TVs with cable in 4 of the 5 bedrooms, a fully stocked kitchen, and beautiful deck with a fire pit and valley views. Central AC was also installed.
The residence is perfect for multiple families as it features multiple living spaces, a private circular drive and plenty of parking for vehicles and trailers. It has great outdoor space with an 8 person hot tub, plenty of outdoor seating, and on property walking trails that grant access to national forest. It includes a complimentary Tesla EV charging station that can provide a full charge overnight.
The home is less then a 5 minute drive to the newly renovated Durango Hot Springs, Dalton Ranch Golf Club as well PJs Market and a great liquor store. Additionally it’s located on Country Road 203 know as one of the best cycling routes in Durango with fresh asphalt, quiet country atmosphere, and rides that extend to great destinations.

There are also 2 single roll away beds that can be placed anywhere (Deluxe Diplomat Folding Bed with memory foam mattress) they are actually comfortable.
The home is not pet friendly. Please do not bring your pets.
Note there is another home (2 Bedroom) that is vacation rental on the property that is approximately 40 yards away - there are no shared spaces and you can't really see the other house.
