This is a newly renovated Ohana guest house that is walking distance to the art galleries and coffee shop in Hawi. We have beach equipment that you are welcome to borrow as well as anything else we can do to help you have an enjoyable stay.
The space
The spacious 2 bedroom 1 bath has beautiful tile floors and marble tops in the kitchen. The interior was recently repainted inside and furniture updated with high end queen and king mattress as well as a new sofa and chairs. Sofa has a pull out bed and there is a single mattress day bed in bedroom with the queen bed. High speed internet is included with a nice desk for work or play. We maintain the highest internet speeds provided by our local provider and we have an internet specialist that lives on property that keeps things running quickly for those video and zoom calls that have become more a part of our lives now since Covid. We have a flat screen smart tv in the living room for streaming your favorite shows. Home is completely surrounded by tall hedges and trees for a private tropical and peaceful stay. Enjoy fresh coconut, papaya, and other fruit when in season. We are located walking distance to Hawi town which was recently voted "Most Charming Small Town in all the Hawaiin Islands". We are walking distance to the art galleries, farmers market, coffee shop, and restaurants of our charming little town.
Other things to note
We strive to keep our nightly rates low. Our property is located at an elevation of roughly 600ft. Most guest find that they do not need ac. The nights and mornings are typically in the high 60s and low 70s. Due to the high cost of power at 37 cents per KW in Hawaii, electricity is obviously a factor we have to be conscious of. Since most guest don't use the ac, we discount that from our nightly rate and the price you see listed now reflects that discount. If you decide you would like to use the AC there is a small fee of 15 dollars a day to cover the additional cost of the electrical usage. You are welcome to let us know after your arrival and decide at that point if you think you need it our not. We live in the main house next door and we do not have ac but we do have occasional guest that prefer the option.
We also have a 2014 VW Jetta, 4 door, leather, and loaded for rent. Our daily rate is 100 a day and possibly no other fees depending on payment method. We only rent to our guests to help out when rates are crazy high or there is no availability. If you are getting quotes for 150 to 300 a day as it is at times check with us and we will see if we can help save you some money. If you find that their rates are under 100 a day you will be better off going with the airport major brands for convenience sake.
