This two bedroom, two bath condo is located in the stunning oceanfront Lae Nani Resort on Kauai's East Shore. It is a second floor end unit featuring a large covered lanai, perfect for outdoor dining, with unobstructed views of the ocean and Wailua Bay.
Lae Nani is a gated oceanfront condominium complex, roughly seven miles north of the Lihue Airport and a quarter mile north of the mouth of the Wailua River, Kauai's largest river. It's centrally located in the town of Kapa'a for easy access to all areas of the island.
The resort is exquisitely landscaped with lush tropical vegetation and offers a large oceanfront pool and patio, with gas BBQs available for guests. There is also an on site coin-op laundry close to the unit.
Lae Nani is one of several condominium complexes on Papaloa Road, which runs from the north side of the Wailua River to the Coconut Marketplace shopping center. Unique to Lae Nani, however, is a beautiful white sand beach, popular with locals, guests and tourists alike. Constructed many years ago on this beach, a keiki pond (a three-sided black lava rock breakwater) creates a protected pool that is shallower, warmer and calmer than the surrounding ocean.
The condo was recently renovated. The kitchen features granite countertops, cabinets and appliances. There is a four-burner glass top range, large stainless steel refrigerator, stainless dishwasher and a built-in microwave. We have all the pans and kitchen supplies to cook a gourmet feast.
The two bathrooms have also been remodeled, with custom walk-in showers, beautiful tilework and vanities with granite tops. New luxury plank flooring throughout the unit provide a cool, clean look.
The master bedroom has a king size bed and attached bath. The second bedroom has two new twin XL beds and attached bathroom.
There are an assortment of beach toys for guests to use including beach chairs, boogie boards, snorkel masks, and sand toys for children to play with.
The Coconut Marketplace is an easy walk away and has many shops that cater to tourists. Kapa'a town is about a mile north of Lae Nani with bicycle, snorkel and beach gear rental, a Safeway grocery store, drug stores, banks, restaurants and farmer's markets. Rent bikes in town and take them onto the new bike path that begins close to the condo and winds north along the ocean for many miles.
Kauai is a small enough island that most visitors want to explore it all, from Waimea Canyon and Koke`e State Park on the West Side, to Hanalei town and the tropical lagoon at Ke`e beach in the North. Lae Nani is conveniently located about halfway between these two road's-end points.
